Solomon Woytowich was born in Poland. He attended the University of Warsaw and received a degree in philosophy. In 1972, he immigrated to the United States and attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a master's degree in counseling psychology. He has been a practicing psychotherapist for over thirty years
He is a founding member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and serves on its Board of Directors. In addition to his private practice, Woytowich is a member of the faculty at the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Counseling Psychology at Talbot Seminary in La Mirada, California. He has been published in professional journals on several occasions.
